Recreation

Our approach to recreational activities is unique in that the activities are designed for experiential learning. The aim of the activities is to allow an individual to view himself as increasingly capable and competent. By graduating the series of activities which might involve some physical and/or emotional risk, and succeeding (and sometimes failing) in a supportive group environment, a person is able to begin to develop true self-esteem.

From Our Families:

My son had no real friends–he might make a friend one minute and loose them the next. Now he has friends! How did you do that?
