Education and experience
I am a certified school counselor (from Dallas Baptist University) and I have a master‘s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of North Texas. I have always enjoyed working with adolescents, and during my grad program I did an internship at Denton Juvenile Detention Center, where I held small group counseling sessions with girls. Prior to joining The St. Anthony School, I worked at Bowman Middle School in Plano as a special education math teacher. I returned to school, after my first daughter was born, in 2011 to pursue school counseling. I was fortunate to find The St. Anthony School, where I completed my practicum hours, and I have been working here ever since.
What is your favorite thing about teaching at The St. Anthony School?
I love that our teachers can be creative and think outside of the box in order to meet students’ needs.
What is your most memorable moment since you've been at St. Anthony?
I recently started participating on the admissions side, and it is very rewarding to meet the parents in the beginning. I get to see how their lives are changed once we get involved. It’s truly an amazing process and I am very thankful to be a part of it.
What is the one thing you want every parent to know about this school?
I want all parents to feel our acceptance and know this is a place where their children will feel welcome and have a chance to grow and be successful.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married and have three children (Victoria, 8; Yianni, 5; and Sophia, 14 months). My husband is Greek, so we have a Big Fat Greek Family! My oldest daughter is an equestrian rider who goes to local shows often.
