Teacher, Elementary Program

Education and experience
I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in special education. After school, I moved to Denver, Colorado, where I taught K-8 special education resource for two years before I moved back home to Texas. I taught in Irving ISD for one year as a K-5 special education resource teacher and then I found The St. Anthony School. This will be my fourth year with The St. Anthony School and every year gets better and better!

What is your favorite thing about teaching at The St. Anthony School?
My favorite thing about teaching at The St. Anthony School is the students. I love their curiosity, love for learning, and interactions with one another. I am extremely thankful that I wake up every day excited to come to work! Every day is a new day and The St. Anthony School feels like home.

What is your most memorable moment since you've been at St. Anthony?
Last year, we had our first annual Bike Rally and Cookout for the elementary school students. Student council members helped set this up and we invited The St. Anthony School parents and families to join in on the fun. It was awesome to see the students ride their bikes or scooters and enjoy the outdoors!

What is the one thing you want every parent to know about this school?
The staff at The St. Anthony School genuinely cares about your child’s academic, emotional and social growth. Your child will be loved and supported by both the staff and his or her peers every single day.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy hanging out at home with my husband and our two dogs, Finn and Bailey. I also love going on vacation with friends and family, working out and cooking.
